Welcome From the Publisher

Welcome

Welcome to The Christian View magazine.

In this publication over the past 19 years, readers have enjoyed a wide variety of articles through Christian journalism supporting our communities with in-depth coverage of many non-profit organizations and many local events as well as in-depth interviews with many sharing their Christian faith. The Christian View magazine has published hundreds of articles and more than 8,000 photographs and has been read in all 50 states and in 173 countries.

Journalism is a noble profession, and good journalism is essential to our local communities and our nation and our world — informing readers, viewers, or listeners of current events and recording history for future generations by providing a reliable source of factual information, and serving our communities in a multitude of ways. Good people serve in different forms of journalism, and good journalists are a vital part of our communities across our state, our nation, and our world.

For five years before creating The Christian View magazine, I served as the Editor of The Pickens Sentinel.  Prior to that, I was employed by Clemson University for three years, while I was an undergraduate student, and wrote press releases and a television commercial for the university, as well as articles for university publications, including Clemson World magazine. While a student at Clemson, I also wrote for The Clemson Messenger newspaper and was a staff writer for the student newspaper, The Tiger (following four years as a staff writer for my high school newspaper).

As a newspaper Editor, I worked 60 to 80 hours every week, writing hundreds of articles each year, with responsibilities including covering news across Pickens County, attending and reporting on events and meetings in our county every week, interviewing citizens and writing feature stories about them, and also writing extensively about local non-profit organizations, to help those organizations serving our communities. As a Christian journalist, I also have a mission of sharing Jesus through journalism, and I created this publication to share the Good News of the Gospel, as well as to share good news from our communities. With this publication, from the beginning to the present, I have continued with the same work ethic as when a newspaper Editor. As a journalist for more than 20 years, I have always been meticulous, thorough, and factual and have always treated others as I would wish to be treated, just as I have lived throughout all of my life.

Thank you for reading and for supporting this ministry of Christian journalism.
